Skin Consultation
A deep dive into your skin health
Many skin conditions that surface in time originate from the deeper skin layers and are difficult to diagnose with the human eye alone. Here at my skin clinic in Ipswich I use the MEICET PRO-A Skin Analyser to expose those conditions with its expert analysis on skin texture, tone, sensitivity, redness and pigmentation. This incredible technology analyses your skin with algorithms, statistics, detailed images and reports. Your reports can be accessed at any time following your skin consultation and will provide detailed skincare product and treatments recommendations suitable for your skin.
Why is a skin consultation so important?
We ask important questions
Your skin should always be examined prior to any product or treatment recommendations being made.
I will ask you the right questions that will be asked in a way that reveals, naturally, your key skin concerns and goals.
We provide you with much needed context
Following my series of questions, I will take you through an in-depth explanation of your current skin situation, why your skin is behaving the way it is and why you're experiencing the concerns you are.
This provides important context to my recommendations and will hopefully provide some reassurance that your concerns can be resolved.

We'll give you the science behind the recommendations
I will take you through all of the active ingredients and methods that could help to resolve your concerns - detailing exactly why each recommendation will help against the context gained from the previous step.
This will give you the information and tools you need to make a totally informed decision on your skincare routine and treatment plan.

We work with you to provide a totally bespoke plan to suit you
Once you have had time to consider the results and recommendations from your skin consultation, I will work collaboratively with you to create a bespoke treatment plan that will help to resolve your skin concerns and achieve your skin goals.

FAQs
Everything you need to know about the Hydrafacial
01
Is HIFU or Radio Frequency right for me?
It depends on your skin and what you want to address, which is why I always start with a consultation rather than picking a technology off a list. HIFU uses focused ultrasound to work in the deeper layers of the skin, while Radio Frequency uses gentle heat closer to the surface to trigger collagen production. Some clients benefit from one, some from a combination over time.
03
How many sessions will I need?
HIFU is often done as a single session with results building over the following weeks. Radio Frequency typically works best as a course, usually 6 treatments, since it relies on a gradual collagen response.
05
When will I see results?
Collagen takes time to rebuild, so results continue to improve over the weeks following treatment, not just on the day. I'll talk you through a realistic timeline at your consultation based on your skin.
02
Is skin tightening painful?
Most clients describe a warming or tingling sensation rather than pain. I'll always explain what to expect before we start, and the treatment is adjusted to your comfort.
04
Is there any downtime?
Both treatments have little to no downtime. Some mild redness is normal immediately afterwards and usually settles within a few hours.
06
I need a patch test first?
Patch testing isn't required for HIFU or Radio Frequency, but it is required for some of my other treatments. I'll always confirm exactly what your specific plan needs before we book anything in.
