What is 3JUVE Resurface and which skin concerns is it actually for?
3JUVE Resurface is a fractional laser treatment that we offer here at Crystal Rose, and the technology behind it explains exactly why it's such an effective and versatile skin treatment.
How 3JUVE Resurface actually works
The treatment delivers microscopic beams of heat that cause superficial ablation in the skin. This creates tiny microscopic holes, which trigger the body's natural inflammation and wound-healing response. That healing response is what stimulates new collagen production.
What it's used to treat
Because the technology works through the skin's own repair process rather than one specific action, 3JUVE Resurface is used for a range of concerns: mild acne scarring, deep lines and wrinkles, large pores, general skin texture issues, pigmentation and discolouration, congested skin, sun damage pigmentation, stretch marks, and post-surgical or other scarring.
Why one technology covers so much
Collagen stimulation and controlled resurfacing genuinely help with several different visible concerns at once, since texture, fine lines and some pigmentation issues can all improve as the skin remodels. This is why 3JUVE Resurface isn't marketed as a single-issue treatment.
Who should take extra caution
Darker skin tones can still be treated, but with more caution, since higher melanin content carries an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Pre-treating with topical skin-lightening agents for four weeks beforehand may help reduce that risk, and this is something we will discuss at your consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Does it hurt?
The sensation is often described as similar to snapping your skin with an elastic band, along with warmth, tingling or mild stinging.
Is one session enough?
This depends on your specific concern and skin. Maintenance treatments are recommended as needed, since results are affected by ongoing sun exposure and time.
Is downtime significant?
Downtime is generally minimal, though it can extend up to around seven days depending on how your individual skin reacts.
